Guest Low Roller Posted January 3, 2004 Report Share Posted January 3, 2004 Alex Lifeson Facing Battery Charges According to nbc-2.com, the lead guitarist for the rock band Rush is in trouble after an alleged brawl with sheriff's deputies in Naples, Florida. Alex Zivojinovich, known by his stage name Alex Lifeson, was arrested for what deputies describe as drunken, violent behavior at a hotel in Naples on New Year's Eve. Deputies say they had to use a stun gun on the 50-year-old, who's facing battery and other criminal charges. His 33-year-old son, Justin Zivojinovich, was also arrested. An arrest report says the scuffle started when Lifeson's son refused to leave a stage. He says deputies broke his father's nose. He also denied that his dad threw a female deputy down a set of stairs, as the arrest report says. He says she fell down the stairs while pushing the guitarist.
