The Chameleon Project
Embrace Presents in conjunction with Nufunk.ca are thrilled to announce that Lotus, trailblazers in live rock & electronica will be performing in Toronto on February 27th!
Never a group to be pigeonholed, Lotus brings many musical weapons to the stage. From festival stages such as Rothbury, Wakarusa, Evolve and Red Rocks to theaters across the country, the band has left grinning crowds dripping with sweat. Equal parts dance and rock, Lotus has been crafting a unique brand of instrumental rock for the past decade.
The big light show and pounding beats may be club inspired, but the band’s ability to connect with the audience through emotive composition and dynamic improvisation pushes performances past the elusive barrier dividing concert and experience.
Lotus will be playing 2 blistering sets - you won't want to miss it!
To enter the ticket contest, please email your full name to info@embracepresents.com Winners will announced on Monday, February. 1st.

A little sampling of the long-awaited live record from the NEW DEAL with footage from their shows this past summer.
Check it out when you have a second, pass it on (trying to really chalk up the youtube views) and maybe see you at our Toronto show on the 17th at the Mod Club! We're then off to NYC for a special NYE late-night show at BB KING's Nightclub in Times Square. Should be a blast!
- Darren Shearer - drummer The New Deal
the NEW DEAL releases a hometown recorded live disc. (See album cover above) It's an in-depth snapshot of the band’s current musical path which captures their rapidly-intensifying sound. A pre-holiday throwdown at Toronto’s Mod Club on Thursday, December 17th, 2009 will celebrate the release with local electronica duo TMDP.
It's been at least 2 years since Umphrey McGee has played in Toronto and we are stoked! Of all the current Jambands out there - Umphrey's embodies that "take it to the limit improvisation" that we love plus their jams rank amongst some of the most juicy and satisfying on tour today. Time is now to buy tickets as the show is on Wednesday! Don't miss this one folks - it's going to be ...er... EPIC!
Umphrey's Ticket Contest Update
Congrats to Large Marge who has won a pair of tickets to Umphrey's McGee plus something special from the band. We are all looking forward to the show next Wednesday, we hope you can make it.
