bradm
The Ottawa Sun had an article today about a fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 8 for victims of the tsunami. It's at the Capital Music Hall, is all ages, goes from noon to 8pm, and will feature "celebrity hosts and 14 bands, including James Cohen, Good 2 Go, Tony D., Lucky Ron & the McGillicuddy Sisters, Songs Remain the Same, Manpower, The John Henry's, the Bush Pilots and more". There's a recommended minimum donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children at the door. As well, Cafe Dekcuf will be having a benefit show this Friday, Jan. 8, featuring local artists Diamond Back, Tier Three, Amanda Rheaume and Ana Miura. All proceeds, along with a portion of bar sales, will go to the Canadian Red Cross Asia Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund. Admission to the event will be a donation to the Red Cross fund of the visitor's choice, with a suggestion of $5. Bands will also donate the proceeds from merchandise sales as well. (A lot of the above is quoted from the bar's website.) Aloha, Brad
