help with family costa rica vacaton-time sensative

hey folks,

any of you folks vacationed in costa rica with kids??

my wife and child are heading down to tamarindo for a vacation.

Does anyone have any suggestions about appropriate accomidations for 2 women and 2 children in that laocale.

keep in mind:

- boundries between kids and ocean is a good thing

- it should be affordable, but not too affordable...i.e. no hammoks in a cabana.

- a pool would be good

- clean lodgings.

...be sure that I will be left in the capable hands of the grateful dead and my local herbalist...ha ha

damn! i'm jealous.

i was in costa rica for a month a few years ago, but i was down in quepos/manuel antonio. absolutely wonderful, right on the pacific coast... que linda!

i didn't spend any time up in tamarindo. do you have a lonely planet guide? they can be helpful, that's what i used to read up before my trip.
