Basher Posted February 9, 2009 Report Share Posted February 9, 2009 Just did a little Pricebashing, and thought I would share the tip: IF you book the Long Island Marriott Hotel & Conference Center right now at Marriott.com you will see a prepaid rate of $199 USD available. Hotels.com, Expedia.com, etc... all list a prepaid rate for the same dates for $179 USD. IF you book at Marriott.com, then submit a "Look No Further Guarantee" claim ( claim form ), they will lower your rate to $134.25, which is 25% OFF the lower rate found. Just submitted my claim and it was validated within about 3 hourts. My experience is as soon as the claim gets validated they lower the rate on their site OR ensure the rate is increased at the competing sites. They have yet to do this. Basher Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 9, 2009 FYI, once you book this rate at Marriott.com you cannot cancel or change, so be sure about it. Also, have a window up from Expedia.com (make sure you enter the USA site) showing the cheaper rate so you can paste it in the claim form as soon as you booked the higher rate.
