Guest Low Roller Posted October 14, 2014 Report Share Posted October 14, 2014 Trevor Gillies, best known for some dumb ass moves that led to suspensions while a member of the NY Islanders, managed to probably put a nail in the coffin of any eventual NHL comeback by picking up a 12 game suspension in the AHL for slamming a player's face into the ice after the player turtles to avoid a fight. Gillies is such a skilled dynamic player that he wasn't even getting any ice time in the AHL. The AHL is now, more than ever, a wasteland of fringe NHL goons trying desperately to keep their names in circulation. You want old school hockey fights?
