  1. there's one story Scully notes that I can't get out of my head:

the one where mid-80's Jerry refused to perform on stage until someone returned his stash.

How funny is the story where Jerry and pals get pulled over by the cops just when their tank of nitrous breaks. tongue.gif" border="0

  2. by fluke I was switching the channels when I saw the head dude from Sloan introducing the band (I didn't know he was a fan; I've never seen him at any of their shows in Toronto or Halifax).

Anyways, it was great to see the full ensemble of the band rocking it out. Never knew that Craig wore glasses though?!?!?!

    congrats to them!!!!! grin.gif" border="0

  3. the new FUGAZI album (the Argument) has me hooked. At first I thought it was weak, but it has turned out to be one of their more fascinating albums!

Phissh-12/6/97 Alburn Hills- got excited after hearing the rumor Phish might release it. The 2nd set is KILLER with a heavy psych jam in Tweezer and probably my favorite Twist Around (you can tell the boys are having loads of fun on it) grin.gif" border="0

  4. other memorable highlights:

    - my buddy using his jedi mind trick on a scalper; he talked him down from $80 to 40!

-last night security allowed fans to bring in cameras and other recording devices; however my friend got booted because he snuck in filming the show from the soundboard section...oh well

-there was an awesome opening band too (forgot name) where they did an amazing cover of Rush's Spirit of the Radio with Jack Black singing a verse! "CONCERT HALL" (hurray) grin.gif" border="0

  5. last night was JOKES!

too many funny moments to remember:

    -playin' Mr Brownstone!

    - JB's saxaphone solo with K doin' the dance

-spiderman sprayin' his web all over K's ass

-the short film of JB giving K a $10 blow job ("you don't have any money!)

    -playin' Fat Albert

    etc etc etc....

A lot of people were there due to hype/media. You could tell which ones they were because they either couldn't stop talking or telling jokes?!?!?

all in all good times! grin.gif" border="0

  6. PHUCK YEAH!

let's hope we see some phatties unleashed from 1992-1994! I need a sweet copy of 11/22/94 (the mother of all Funky Bitches!! Close to 15 minutes long).

Hey, how about we conduct a poll. We each pick 5 of the most likely shows to make the cut (pick either your most cherished show on tape/cd or a show you had an epiphany at, whatever...).

Then when the list is officialy anounced, we'll look back on who nailed the correct dates, and that person will win a prize, or a member status promotion to the Bigest Phishy of them all!

So, here are my 5 picks:

    1) 11/22/94 Columbia, MO

    2) 4/21/92 Red Acres -phenominal Tweezer

    3) 8/13/93 Murat Theater, IN -solid jams in Gin and Yamar>>Mike's!!

    4) 11/14/95 Orlando, FL -STASH

    5) 9/14/99 Boise -best exploratory AC/DC Bag

    phew

  7. What can I tell you?

First off, I was really excited to see a band like the New Deal for New year's Eve, mostly because the event took place in my home town, which definitely has a supreme level of convenience to it. However the night turned out to be more than I expected! shocked.gif" border="0

The venue was the Guvernment. Now I haven't been there in a long time, but it's definitely not the same place I remembered it to be where back in the day I used to see bands like Primus, Fugazi and Slayer rip shit up. The Guvernment was a breeding ground for Le Chateau Mannequins, which really tweaked me out at times to the point I wanted to rip off all my clothes and explode on the dance floor. mad.gif" border="0

Also, the music the DJ's were pounding in our ears was most deafening! There was no chance in hell anyone could partake in an intelligent conversation (then again tripping off fungi hampers that too). Within the entire venue there was no escaping the insanity. I would of done anything for a pair of headphones and a copy of Workingman's Dead during the DJ romp.

Yet the New Deal turned everything around. About 15 minutes before midnight the band took the stage and all I remember was going through one sick climax after another. It was NUTS; the band just kept on dropping these sick tension and release bombs to no end that just kept everyone dancing in phull phorce. grin.gif" border="0 Another highlight were the lights, especially the laser beams that swept through the crowd as if I was at a Floyd show. cool.gif" border="0

Overall it was a strange night indeed! The music was awesome, but everything else felt like I took a quantum leap to the biblical dayz of Sodom and Gomorrah. wink.gif" border="0

  8. Considering my actual last name is TENENBAUM, I found the film to be pretty amusing and strangely coincidental in some places! Entertaining and jokes throughout.

If you have a dysfunctional family (who doesn't) then I highly recommend it.

have a happy and healthy new year every1 cool.gif" border="0

    peace out from within

    your royal pal al tenenbaum

  9. jumping jesus on a pogo stick, that's fucking awesome! grin.gif" border="0

when do tickets go on sale?

Hey KUNG, put your Northern Head to headee use and arrange an interview with them!!!

I heard when T D opened for Ween at Red Rocks, T D and the Ween boys were sniffing coke off some fat chick's ass backstage(no joke, check out Ween's chocodog site under tour stories). Think about it Kung! cool.gif" border="0
