  1. Hey everyone... due to unforseen weather circumstances, SPELLBOUND has been moved to SPIN GALLERY at 1100 Queen W.

If you show up at the orginal venue, there should be people there to direct you to, and probably even shuttle you to the new venue.

Anyone planning on coming? I'll be there :).

  2. This party *should* be crazy.

I work for the Wilderness Committee (the charity that is getting part of the proceeds to help the boreal forest), and I'll be working at our table there all night. If anyone's coming, come say hi to me. It's gonna be cool, the table will be in a chill out area with pictures of boreal forest all around and comfy couches and stuff.

And there's also a yoga workshop that starts at 8, so come early if you want to join in.

Oh, and costumes are encouraged. Yay for costumes. And yay for the non-smokingness of this event.

  3. Oh dear... I seem to be having the same dilemma... bluegrass? afrofunk? bluegrass? afrofunk? Every week now is going to involve planning, not just a default trip to the dollar. Oh well, this week will be a Crazy Strings week for me at least. Maybe next week I'll venture down to Queen....

  5. I saw that little private show, and I think it was the best part of the night. We were standing by the side of the stage, and futureman turned to face us, and rocked out. It was awesome. I was totally blown away by the entire evening. And, yes, thank you mister slippery for the drive out there.

  6. I brought my djembe to the march last year. Except I don't think I actually marched. Just hung around Queen's Park and drummed mostly.

You could pop your drum circle cherry any Tuesday in Trinity Bellwoods. The weather should be nice enough for the drum circle there to start soon. Or it might have already, actually....

  7. FOOD 1.1

    MOBILITY 0.2

    SHELTER 1

    GOODS/SERVICES 0.9

    TOTAL FOOTPRINT 3.2

IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 8.8 GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON.

WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 1.8 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON.

IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 1.8 PLANETS

  8. Well, as long as introductions are being made, I may as well jump on the bandwagon. I'm new to the board as well, but not new to the jamband scene. I probably know a few people here from shows and stuff, although I'm not really sure who :)

    so, yeah, hello ::
