  1. Hey y'all...just saw the Slip playa killer set in a gymnasium in lewiston maine opening up for grandaddy ska himself, Toots and the Maytals. Now if Bob Marley were still alive, do you think Id be seeing him play at a high school gym with a bunch of 18 year old giddy girls with belly button shirts gosiping in front of the girls bathroom?.....Takes me back to bridgeport CT. 2 months ago, just driving through and found on Jambase that rusted root were playing...I entered the fluorescent lit gym and realized i was indeed the oldest feller there. The lights stayed on for the whole show, no alcohol, about 20 cops, and MOSHERS! The band had to stop 6 times to tell the young children that rusted root doesnt think its hip to mosh.

So there is my ramblings for this evening, why cant these bands ditch the gym gigs and play to real audiences in the great white north???

Ill keep em coming as i go through the footage.

  5. Hey folks....one more thing, i was thinking about how easily written words can be mixed up with the true intentions. I always think that written arguments don't truly represent what either party is arguing about because there is no visual or audible personality to it...so as learned by my last post..I will certainly be careful on how I write things. If anyone wants to go to bermuda..check out my new Cavern Post..yeeeeeeeeehaw

  6. Interesting reading this thread! Reading it reminded me about a conversation I had with a bunch of cats from the Terrapin message board, they were saying how many assholes were on the jambands.com message board...big fights. It seems folks have an easier time being asses to each other when they are writing on the net.

Tlighten things up, here is a tribute to the biggest ass Ive ever met in the scene..who is this idiot anyway? ha...its the latest promo for A Heads Tale....

  7. hmmmm, I was in my VW camper in saint john NB, I was taking a gurl on a Pea Soup date on top of a huge hill that over looks saint John New Brunswick..we had just bought some of those yummy steamed Irving Gas station Hot Dogs, when we heard the news on the radio. At that point we continued to cook up the soup and talk about and listen to the dead, when a bunch of kid came over and peeped into our window yelling "Are you having sex in there?" so thats my memory of that day....

  8. Sorry for east coast ramblings, but the mansion party 3 weekends ago after the GTB JSB sets proved to me thatthe best guitarist in teh world is Pete Davison from Hu Noo...thats all I gots to say..yes much spiced rum and fungi were jamming with him in my head but dammit, hes the one!!!!~!!

  11. Hey y'all...Just wanted to update you on the life and times of a broke film maker...well ive been pulled back down to the carribean for a few weeks to video tape rich people jumping into swimming pools. Fortunately I have been able to collect enough extra footage fromn "A Heads Tale" to edit a full extra documentary called "Songs of Solidarity". I shot this at a concert in Calgary set up for the protest community during the G8 summit. Our friends Blue Quarter, Bruce Cockburn, Brothers Kreegan, amongst many others have apeared live on it. Also there are some extra scenes of protests and machine guns and stuff with the nice grooves of Grand theft Bus and Jimmy Swift Band backing it up.

Ill be back for Evolve to complete the filming of " A heads Tale", then one quick shoot in NYC then I edit edit edit!!!
