Moondata Productions' LABprojects is a monthly series based around the talents of Montreal musicians, DJ's and VJ's. A different kind of local music scene networking, the participants collaborate for this one-time only performance by sharing original sketches and ideas, often having members of very different groups and bands bouncing new ideas off each other, or dipping into musical styles that they are not necessarily known to perform. The improvisations often fall between abstract noise and ambience to in-your-face grooves, from heavy psych-rock to jazz & musique actuelle, from tripped out electronics to modern classical. Each show is enhanced with projected visuals that are mixed live to the music by a local VJ.

Moondata Productions' LABprojects is a monthly series based around the talents of Montreal musicians, DJ's and VJ's. Squarewaves are a Montreal band creating hauntingly beautiful music that touches on pop, post-rock and electronics. Featuring members of Valley of the Giants (with members of Shalabi Effect, do make say think and Broken Social Scene), Null Set and Pest 5000. www.thesquarewaves.org
Adelaide formed in the summer of 2003 and all share the same fascination with combining sound and image. Through sonic and visual experimentations, Adelaide synthesized their aesthetic ideas into a performance that includes 16mm film projections, electronics, and live instrumentation. This will be their first show in Montreal. www.adelaidesound.com
Pharmakon’s live presentation is comprised of two musicians (drums and guitar) and a third member who manipulates the music in real time using software. The music is accompanied by raw film footage and photography also created by its members.
