You might also consider The Kingmakers at Irene's Pub:
The Kingmakers play a high-octane mix of rockabilly, jump blues and good old rock and roll which appeals to all ages and is guaranteed to get your toes tapping. Based in Ottawa, Canada, the band recently recorded at legendary SUN Studio in Memphis Tennessee.Aloha,
Brad
I like to tap my toes. How about you BradM. Up for a toe tap(p)ing good time?

Also, tickets might be sold out but Flecton Big Sky is releasing his new record tonight at the Elmdale and it is sure to be a great show. I think it's $8 cover. But get there early. Isn't Chris Cornell tonight at lansdowne? and hawksley workman at the bronson centre?
Hawksley Workman are at The Bronson Centre tonight but that just isn't in the cards. No offence but anything with Eddie Vedder or Chris Cornell gives me nausea reminiscent of the spanish flu.
As for Flecton Big Sky, I am not familiar with them. Style?

A week later I am in the same boat. Any funky things going on tonight?

I wonder how many people blew money on a snowblower this year in Ottawa? I bet we have 2 big snowfalls' date=' and that's it. Last winter was seriously fucked.[/quote']
wow, snow karma is going to fall heavily on your house this winter!! (but thank you, I love the snow!!)
I'll be on a Bobcat in the downtown area all winter long in Ottawa. Too bad Gatineau is out of my jurisdiction.
Whereabouts are you AD? I might be able to help a brotha out if he's in a crunch. Just keep in mind that I take Baileys in my coffee. Amarula and Frangelico will work too.

Happy Birthday!!

Thanx for the heads up BradM. Although you don't know me well, you obviously know me well enough that I am in the mood to dance.
Rock 'N' Roll it is!
Thanx again boys. My friends may make their way to the jazz ensemble, but I think I'll keep my bananas close to the muffler crunching.
-
I am glad that we have gone back to our original look.
Super!
-
Thanx very much gentlemen. What are the two of you up to this evening?
The percussive jazz tweeked my nipples a little bit BradM.
The name Muffler Crunch is a helluvan intriguing name in itself AD.
Thanx again boys.

This sounds SUPER!

Any of you kind folks know of other options within the city of Ottawa this evening besides Secret Machines at Babylon?
(please keep in mind that beligerance and sarcasm are more than welcome in your answers as long as they are accompanied with a hint of honest options.)

Good job guys! Hope to meet you some day Kira, ya look like a lovely lady.
-
Happy Thanxgiving weekend folks! Have a great one.

I just woke up from the craziest dream and heard/saw the perfect opener:
I Didnt Know
It was so carzy. It was perfect.
That sounds so crazy it could work!!
I'm leaning towards a Divided Sky

teekins and meaghan are up that way caroline
[color:purple]Although Meaghan may not participate in the tradition. This tends to be around the time that Teekens heads up north to Collingwood and "spearheads" the annual Baby Seal Clubbing event.
In all seriousness though, I'm not familiar with any strictly veg-freindly restaurants in Barrie. But there will definetely be options for you Caroline. Just hit up the downtown and take a stroll down Dunlop street which is the main street downtown. Lot's of restaurants and seedy bars down that strip. If you come across Big Johns Records just off Dunlop be sure to check it out. I have never walked into that store and left without spending atleast $50. Some great finds there. Have fun!

I grabbed this show from Big Johns' in Barrie years ago. That copy has long since dissapeared. JayR you may remember me having that kicking around back in the day.
Thanx Basher, I'll grab this a little later.

Not sure if this has been posted yet. I just came across this after cruising by Treys' site a few minutes back. Here's the link:

Although I have only been using OCtranspo for a little less than a year now, I have yet to encounter any major issues or been extremely inconvenienced by the service provided.
Being in Kanata I often hop on the 160 to Eagleson Park and Ride to grab the 96 whether it be to Stittsville or Ottawa bound. Not once has the 160 arrived just as the 96 has been pulling out. Also, more than a handful of times I have been on the 96 Kanata bound with my fingers crossed that I have timed it perfectly to catch the 160 at Eagleson Park and Ride. Looking at the time and realizing it is :34 passed the hour and I have likely missed it over the hill on Eagleson, there it is parked, and waiting for the 96 that I am on. I've always been quite pleased with the service and I wish you folks the best in meeting your demands RD.
