  1. Rose Garland probably won't get on stage until 12:30AM.

They are a band thats been around for 5 years now, always covering the Dead no original tunes. One of the guitar players (Dave) sings a lot like Bobby and Aaron the other singer on Drums is really good as well. They always have their own sound and lighting equipment including liquid lights. Recently they've started covering a few Phish tunes which I don't personally enjoy but it sounds all right, I do like Glen the bassist singing Mike's Song and Ya Mar.

Unlike Caution Jam they don't cover the dead in their own way, I find their objective is to sound more like the Grateful Dead every time they play together.

I went out and saw them in Thorold, ON with Caution Jam in the spring time and have been to every one of their shows since. A great band if you love the Dead.

Hope to see some of you there.

  2. I personally thought Keith was in fine form for someone who has been dead for 15 years.

You definitely got it right about shitty openers for the Stones. I remember seeing the fuckin' Spin Doctors opening for them in '94, I wish they had a perscription for a headache!!!

Like I did on Wednesday night I'm gonna be smokin' in the boys room during the opening band tonight. I just hope they change the show a little bit cause the ACC show was like sunday at grandma's house.

  3. Northern Wish: man some of the shows on your list took me back brother. Especially that Ben Harper 10/28/99 and 10/29/99 and then MMW 10/30/99!!!! Three days I still don't think I've sobered up from.

I also remember 10/27/99 I saw Guster at the Shoe. Whooo what a kick-ass week that was huh?

Ben Folds 6/3/98 was at Lee's Palace was it not?

  4. Anyone go? I snuck in a side door, I have to say though they were a lot better the last time I saw them 8 years ago.

And as a plus I had to watch the show with 17'998 dead people. You couldn't have got these people going with a cattle prod. It really makes you appreciate going to "jam" shows all that much more.

Anyways... Highlights for me were: Can't You Hear Me Knockin', Honkey Tonk Women, Happy and Let It Bleed.

I'll be back at the Skydome show on Friday and Rose Garland afterwards where at least I know they'll slam down a "Loving Cup" for me.

  5. I think it's a little cheesy but most of these artists will probably never a Billboard or Grammy, AMA whatever.

The whole turns out to be shit anyways when Trey runs off with all the awards. I thought his album was good, but Best Tour?!?! He plays a lot of the same songs everynight, few special guests, no opener ect. ect.
