What would our responsibilities be aside from taping, distributing and enjoying the show?!

Hey folks, check this one out - I got a real kick out of it!!
Ticketmaster on Strike Oct 1, 2002
AP Newswire - Syracuse, New York=20
Over two-hundred Ticketmaster customer service employees went on strike today
as part of a petition to stop the band Phish from ever using the ticket
service again.
"Work is no longer work. It's become psychotherapy. I don't care if a person
has seen the band over two-hundred times since nineteen ninety-one,"
explained Julie Tavners, a former customer service representative.
Research does show that call volume has quadrupled since tickets for the four
scheduled Phish concerts went on sale, but Ticketmaster refused to comment on
the matter.
"They're the most obsessed fans I've ever come in contact with, and I've sold
tickets to Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel," explained Mike Turrico, also on
strike. "Customers were offering me some girl named Molly for tickets, but I
quickly assured them that I'm happily married."
This strike marks only the second in Ticketmaster's long and dominant history
in the concert tickets arena. The first occurred in New York City in 1985
when the phone lines suddenly went down soon after Barbara Streisand tickets
became available to the general public.
"I was there back in eighty-five. This isn't as bad, but it's damn near
close," explained Turrico.
Phish will play Madison Square Garden on New Year's Eve, then head down to
Hampton, Virginia for a three night stand on January second, third, and
fourth.

Here's some info sent to me that may shed some light on the numbers and why phish doesn't have ALL the tix:
From: Jordan Geswein
Subject: phish tix (nSCI) (nKimock)
Sorry for the non-Cheese, non-Kimock post, but thought some of you might
find this interesting. I called the Phish tix number provided by Aram,
thanks Aram! Anyway I confirmed that I didn't get my tix, then asked
them some ?'s as to how many requests they got, the lady said they
received over 130,000 requests to enter the lottery, so figuring each
request was for 2 tickets thats a total request of 260,000 tix from
phans, of those requests they only had a total of 30,000 (11.5% of the
total requested) tix to sell for all four shows! Hampton seats 11,226
for reserved seating concerts, so thats 33,678 seats for the hampton
run. MSG seats ~19,763. That means there is only 53,441 total seats
available for the whole NYE run. The band has 30,000 of those seats
(available through the lottery), which means ticketbastard has 23,441 of
them to sell friday morning.

I emailed phish tickets-by-mail regarding the ebay scalpers and ticket brokers. They said they will spend the next two months monitoring all of these avenues and cancel orders that match seat locations. I'm afraid that the brokers got their tix via insiders at TM, so there is nothing phish can really do about those tix - only the ones 'won in the lottery' can be dealt with! Damn ticketbastard...they're in on the conspiracy!
Its good to know that the scalpers can't get a hold of taper's tix without phish cancelling them though... Scary to think that a show this big could potentially NOT get taped!
-
Me too - I think asking for taper's was a little too much. Canadians shut out again...
headed for cheese!
-
Better yet... Go to deer creek the night before
and head on down to darien two days after cleveland! Sure beats going back to canada only to drive back down to darien. Can't wait for cleveland - never been to that venue. Best of all...its a GA show!! I can freak out where ever I want!!! Any incident within 10 hrs should NEVER be missed....unless you're crazy or something like that.

Hey folks,
So who all is heading down to the big bonnabooroo?! Since every band seems to be conflicting with some other choice bands, I was wondering what everyone is planning on seeing (or taping). Its gonna be a messy one...that's for sure. My picks are definitely for
SCI (over bisco, les's brain thing...), keller incident instead of denson (sorry tasha!).
Totally gonna check out the super jam, too bad you have to miss phil for that!
moe over galactic, no debate there
Ooh yeah.... now i'm pumped.

I just joined phish sanctuary to post this...oh yeah...poor heart.

Glad I got a chance to see GTB for the first time - good thing they opened or I would've totally felt my $10 was a total waste 'cause that trout was stinky. I've heard some older samples of LT and they did NOT sound like that, I also didn't find them enjoyable to watch.
Guess they won't be coming back...
