  1. oops- and yah- I think we will at least go to the Michelle day....hoping that Bitch and Animal and now maybe Passenger too will all be on the same day. You should give us a call if you come to town for the whole weekend. email me for our phone number and info (I think I have my profile set to release all that info...) Todd said that he invited you back to our place for the nero after party but you had to go so you'll have to take a rain check on that on the 6th of July when they come back to play the same venue.. Cool!

  2. Yah- I have purple horn rims! we've meet- I work with the Guelph Jazz Fest- after you posted the Hillside stuff I thought I should get my act together and get the shit posted to the jazz fest here too...thanks for the heads up on passanger. I live here and haven't checked them out yet.

    Cheers, Tasha

  3. just as a heads up to anyone who hasn't checked that lineup yet--- Michelle Shocked....wow!!! and Bitch and Animal- which are a band that last time drums and tuba was through Bryan was wearing this t-shirt for that band and I asked him about them and he said they were an awesome combo that Ani was currently producing and promoting....Cool huh- and those are my recommendations...

Super cool- I want to get the Jazz Fest Lineup on line for the community soon . ..there is some good stuff coming up again this September- we had such an awesome festival last year with Bill Frisell and Kevin Briet- Kevin With Cyro Baptista (Supergenerous Duo) who is now the tenth member in Trey's new band and he was hanging in Guelph last September- cool- huh? and well . . .tons of others .. . .our web site for those inclined to check it out... http://www.guelphjazzfestival.com

Bouche- I guess I'll check back to this thread for that email or will you just post all the emails for show listings to the db on the contact us page?

  6. Since I am new I guess I should have explored a bit more...it seems like you can do the option of watching Guelph on the side bar (and lots of other cities) but if you go to to the event listing db on the top bar menu the option of Guelph does not come up when Ontario is selected . . .just curious why?

  7. Hey there Bouche or whomever is the person . . .I was wondering if we could possibly add the city of Guelph to the Ontario Show Database . .I know we don't get tons of shows but hey- we've got a few worth posting . . .and we have a great 5 days jazz fest in September as well as the Hillside thing every year so there is a few worthy events to DB and promote to the community....what do you say?

  8. I wish I could have been at those shows to be a part of the party crowd. I think these guys are under appreciated when ever they go . . .and although I like keeping them all to myself sort of I would like to see them making a bit more off thier dedication to touring. They are all so great and yes- unfortunately I don't think all people can get their heads around it right away but most usualy are grooving by the end of the evening. Let's just all try to commit to bringing at least two friends out to the next shows we can attend locally and make them feel a bit more appreciated each time.

The sloth is right though- they never had a bad thing to say about any of their shows no matter how poorly attended they were- they always had fun.

Can't wait to see them again.

  9. that is so . .(maybe not quite 10 min- but I totally know what your talking about).

He also tossed a piece of metel over his shoulder at one point during that show and he actually gets a ping- ping ping sound out of it's hit and roll on the floor that totally goes with he music they had going....they are awesome!!

  10. Stanton is crazy on the drums and this solo effort has tons of class. I saw him recently in the combo Garage A Tois ( with Mike Dillion, Skerik, Charlie Hunter and Stanton) - in New Orleans at the Old Point Bar- I highly recommend checking them all out together their energy was fantastic!
