i thought that occurs to me...if a nation has an agenda that tends to overide the primary function of governnment [making laws and creating programs the protect and support the welfare of the people that elect the governement]...then that agenda can distract the government from it's primary function

isms like capitalism, racism, communism, facism etc. can seriously get in the way of a government doing their job...these notions/agendas have a way of projecting themselves onto other countries thus causing horrible conflicts...it is a drag that this happens...

until some major global healing occurs we will probably have to suffer through the results of some peoples putting their notions of who they are/or who they feel they are suppose to be before their own need to evolve ...

these are my thoughts...

I admit that i'm not very web savvy ... just trying to do the promo as best i can...I'm no marketting student...we have a website...you can sign up for email there...

the promo is a difficult process and i see flaws in what i do as well as what other people do but I understand it's a rough row to hoe and i don't rush to tee off on them...especially not on a public message board ... any constructive criticism is welcome...

...yeah i called this person because I don't find email is effective to have a discussion....she's obviously emailing me from work...

this person emails me and calls me lame and a wuss etc...and sends me her phone number so i called to try and clear up whatever I could in the name of harmony or whatever...then she tees off on me on this board...unbelievable...is this constructive in anyway...if it isn't then i suggest she shut the fuck up!

i'm just making music and this person is being angry and pent up with whatever she's got going on ... now she's making it my problem ...if she didn't want to be called at work she shouldn't have sent me her work number!!

this is your opinion Mike...I can respect that but the reality in my eyes is this is what has happened...

... some people wanted to receive the emails...they actually appreciated it...some people didn't...at this point, I don't know which email is which...who is who...if the email was from a show or not...unless the people who it has bothered will tell me...to me, if I have transgressed in someone's opinion, it was not malicious...it was an attempt to communicate with potentially like minded music lovers...if this has back-fired then I would hope that I would be summarily forgiven in their eyes and given the benefit of the doubt...asked to be removed and be done with it...are you saying that that is too much to ask?...i will try and delete emails from my list that I might have got from this forum...I bear no grudges ... I'd say check out the music before you go making suppositions on it's quality....

I make a monthly post our gigs...I don't want to post for every show...you don't want to go to some crap bar in Woodbridge do you...that's funny...I don't think that the posts are that effective anyways...and I guess the emails aren't either...like i've been saying and maybe you haven't read it...but wouldn't it be less trouble for you to get off of the list ("please remove" is not a lot of typing)than to criticize me in a public forum for spamming you...what would you rather do?

I did not give you permission to send SPAM to me. That's the bottom line. I do not like SPAM, and I tend to steer away from whatever product the SPAM is pimping.

If a band doesn't follow these rules, at the very least whatever messages they send out about themselves will not be read by the recipient. And more likely the recipient will hate you and your music for having contacted them without permission

---------------------------------------------------there is a very obvious portion of the email urging you to be removed from the list if that is your wish...i would never deter someone from emailing me about a show...I get emails from the UK ...I won't see the show but I could care less about a few artists emails....an artist's temperament is a sensitive one and a difficult path to walk so discouraging words can create cynicism and impede creativity...is that what people want?

please don't confuse an artist trying to find his way into a community of like minded people with corporate spam....that seems like a bit of a leap...

alot of people responded and liked the emails...again if you get an email from Passenger about an upcoming show and you don't want to receive it ... just reply with "please remove in the subject"
