  1. This weekend's going to be a blast!! Both shows are FREE!!! Saturday night's venue is great - nice patio for :: Sunday down at the beach with DD on the patio. Festival in the park on Saturday around the corner from the Mansion house - bands all afternoon. Sunday night after DD - few other good bands playing in Port. Glad to hear there's a Kitchener crew coming down. Why only for Sunday? Meggo I think you should reconsider - could probably pull this one off with little funds.

  2. Sounds like a REALLY good idea. Is there anywhere I could park a VW for those nights?

Absolutely, always space for you buddy!!

Saturday show is at the Mansion House, downtown St. Catharines. Sunday afternoon is by the beach at Port Mansion in Port Dalhousie (St. Catharines). I think Number 2 havin a little Saturday night after party. Lots of options to crash for the night, should be a blast ::

  3. Great pictures! They make me miss everyone even more. (Do we really have to wait until Labour Day?)

Willy, July 31st and Aug. 1st - double shot of Diesel Dog in St. Catharines. The Sunday show is in the afternoon on a patio down by the beach. Make the stretch to Labour Day shorter - in?

  4. Wow! What a great night. Cheers to Mark, had an amazing time. Harvard Mouse and Diesel Dog - CAME TO PLAY!!! Great sets, cheers for the music. Simone, Marie, Meghan - what a delightful cake for Mark. Schwa, et al - nice t's.

Looking for to see you all soon. ;)

  5. Seriously though, that's a tough one c-towns. If it were up to me, I'd go see Stephen Franke and NFTT. Nice thing is you can't lose.

I agree - The Ho in Canmore is always a blast, great energy in Canmore, but Stephen Franke requires not leaving town. Blue Quarter will probably be easier to catch in your area than Stephen Franke, considering they're a Canmore local. Stephen Franke and NFTT would be my choice - I've been emailing some friends from Calgary recommending this show.

    Cheers.

  6. I’m sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea

I’ve got to be free, free to face the life that’s ahead of me

On board, I’m the captain, so climb aboard

We’ll search for tomorrow on every shore

And I’ll try, oh lord, I’ll try to carry on

I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory

    Some happy, some sad

I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had

We live happily forever, so the story goes

But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold

But we’ll try best that we can to carry on

A gathering of angels appeared above my head

They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said

They said come sail away, come sail away

    Come sail away with me

Come sail away, come sail away

    Come sail away with me

I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise

They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies

Singing come sail away, come sail away

    Come sail away with me

Come sail away, come sail away

    Come sail away with me

  7. Look out of any window, any morning, any evening, any day.

Maybe the sun is shining, birds are singing,

No rain is falling from a heavy sky.

What do you want me to do, to do for you to see you through?

For this is all a dream we dreamed one afternoon, long ago.
