  1. "Swears like a sailor when she shaves her legs"

CatPhish that song rules, my sister taught it to the three year old she babysits and the kid sings it all day long.

Favorite lyrics are from my fav hometown band FPA called in a song called Amunition

"Slept around a bit but nothing fits

I'm still singing the song you wrote

cleared the area of all your gifts

wrapped and packed away the video

and I'm doing everything I accused you of

    wallowing in harmful feelings

but it's okay and it's alright

    another day another night

I'm punk I can take it

    (chorus)

    and I'm over you

    and you are under me

    I can't sleep another week

leaning on the thought of your shoulder"

or a line from Flaming Rox burn (also FPA)

"Don't come sniffing 'round here for friendship,

I want to give you something more and nothing less"

Guess I miss the band after not seeing them in three months. frown.gif" border="0

  2. Thomas trio ruled. Jody has such talent it's fucking amazing

Barry left NF this summer and that is why FPA broke up.

Star 69 also broke up and Geoff Meadus (Star 69 and Dred heavy, if you remember them) now plays with Margaritas Calling.

Kelly russel used to teach me fiddle lessons.

Drive are also broke up but Sean Panting now has his own band back home.

The music scene in NF has it's ups and downs in recent years, 2 other great band that I've not checked out too often are Trimmed Navel Beef and the Eddie Stevens Quartet.

For a broad view of whats happening back on the rock check out www.deadlyear.com my friend started the site but could not find a direction to go in so right now it's just sitting there.

  3. Hello y'all

Well I've been in Ottawa for 2 and a half months and seen some pretty awesome shows

I've never been to a phish show so seeing Trey at Oysterhead makes that by far the best show for me.

Worst show was a horrible band in NF that did covers but could not pronounce the letters "TH" so it was "wild Ting" and "break on Trough to the oter side"

    Scary stuff

  4. Hey Scottie you've inspired me to come out of the wood work and make some posts, First of all I must say that being new to this scene and never being to a Phish show, Oysterhead was my first time seeing Trey and it fucking blew my mind, wow, wow, wow.

    Current rotation

    Keller (can't remember the date)

    Phish 4-22-93

Fur Packed Action - Great band from Newfoundland.

Those of you I've met it's been a blast and hopefully I'll get a chance to meet some more of ya.

Yeah I was a leaf on the Trey show and I recieved my disks on Wens. Thanks for the extra disk Harry I was able to get a listen on the way to TO.
