shackman
I thought that I'd post this in case any of you were wondering about the future of phish because of some of the recent Trey articles. I just got this today: "So I gotta drop this on you cause I gotta tell somebody...a friend of mine just interviewed Trey for 35 minutes for the local paper down here. I heard the interview and, though I could dork this out probably far beyond anything you'd want to know, I'll just give you the highlights. -Phish is definitely getting back together. Said all those interviews he's been giving is just whatever he feels at the moment. Basically he's been hanging out with the guys, they were all backstage at the July 4 show and went back and partied at the barn, and they're all stoked about getting back together. Just gonna enjoy the break a while more. -Oysterhead album is called The Grand Pecking Order, tour in October in small clubs. -The six shows they are releasing will include what he called his favorite show of all time, a show from Japan which he said nobody has the tapes for. -This Trey tour is gonna be the heat. He's been studying up on the history of well orchestrated dance music from Duke Ellington to the African Fela Kuti. Said this tour will be nothing like the last, he knows what he's doing this time, is well prepared, and is a man on a mission to make people move they're asses. Also, Trey personally recommends a reggae CD, Ernest Wranglin "Below the Baseline", said it's been in his changer for years and basically couldn't say enough about it."
