MarcO Posted July 17, 2002 Report Share Posted July 17, 2002 For those of you inclined to make a hell of a long trek: Line-up for Austin City Limits Music Festival Announced Austin City Limits, the PBS live music program, has announced that it will host its first music festival this fall. The event will take place September 28 and 29 on six stages at Zilker Park in Austin, TX. More than sixty artists will perform, including String Cheese Incident, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Particle, Rebirth Brass Band, Robert Randolph, Soulive, Sound Tribe Sector 9, The New Deal, Topaz, Wilco, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, The Jayhawks, G-Love and Special Sauce, Shawn Colvin, Blind Boys of Alabama, Nickel Creek, Jimmie Vaughan, Pat Green, Ryan Adams, Patty Griffin and many more. There are currently no plans to televise the event. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, July 20 at 10 a.m. For details, visit www.aclfestival.com or call 888-597-7827.
