Guest Low Roller
Norwegian conceptual artist Leif Inge has stretched out Beethoven's 9th Symphony into a length of 24 hours. You can download mp3s or stream Real Audio here. A double DVD-set will be released in the near future if you don't wish to download 1.3 gigs or would prefer it in DVD-quality. Guest Low Roller
I'm about an hour in so far... Very epic indeed, however I don't think I'll be able to listen to the whole thing in one shot... The music is equivalent to the peaceful state you're under when underwater and looking up at the clear blue sky. If I listen to anymore of this without surfacing for some air I might drown. Each of the five movements are sub-divided into 83 minute pieces to make up the 24 hours worth of music totalling about 1.3 GB to download. Beethoven's 9th is unrecognizable from it's original form because every note is stretched out to hauting lengths; maybe if it was played at four times its speed, Beethoven's symphony would reveal itself from underneath the surreal.
