kung Posted June 3, 2004 Report Share Posted June 3, 2004 Not sure if people have heard of Iron and Wine but they are getting a lot of buzz for creating new folk landscapes of sound in the vein of something like Calexico. Also The Slip's Marc Friedman is a fan if that counts for anything. scottieking Posted June 3, 2004 Report Share Posted June 3, 2004 see my 5 disc rotation recently. Iron and Wine is blowing me away. Both albums have their merit. I've found a whole wack of really good soulful stuff lately inclduing Sun Kil Moon and Sufjan Stevens. Haven't tried out Calexico yet....maybe today.
