U2 Battles 'Vertigo,' Covers Kraftwerk

As expected, U2 will commercially release its new single, "Vertigo," Nov. 8 internationally via Interscope. The disc will be available in two CD formats as well as a DVD, alternately featuring the new track "Are You Gonna Wait Forever?," a cover of Kraftwerk's "Neon Lights" and a Jacknife Lee remix of "Vertigo."

In addition, the DVD sports a live performance of "Vertigo" taped at the band's Hanover Quay Studio in Dublin, plus a gallery of photos recently shot in Lisbon, Portugal, by Anton Corbijn.

"Vertigo" is due to hit worldwide radio outlets at the end of the month. The as-yet-untitled album from which it is drawn arrives Nov. 22 internationally and a day later in North America.

Last week, the group confirmed six of the 11 tracks that will appear on the album, including "A Man and a Woman," "Crumbs From Your Table," "Yahweh," "City of Blinding Lights" and "Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own."
