whiteymuseum
There is a New York-based record label that has just opened up a Canadian office in Guelph/Toronto that supports alot of cool psychedelic pop/rock bands. For fans of The Beatles, Badfinger, The Pretty Things, The Sonics. There are oodles of cool "modern-psych" bands out there. The Telepathic Butterflies are one of them. [color:"red"]Telepathic Butterflies Leave Their Cocoon To Tour Friday September 03, 2004 @ 04:00 PM By: ChartAttack.com Staff The Telepathic Butterflies, Winnipeg’s favourite psychedelic rockers, are busting out of the prairies. The trio are once again taking their jangley guitars and beatle-esque melodies to the Canadian masses. The Butterflies are touring in support of their new record Songs From A Second Wave, which will be released by Rainbow Quartz on September 7. After garnering rave reviews for their last record, Introducing, the Peggers toured like, um, butterflies, spreading their wings all around North America and Western Europe impressing hipsters everywhere. Although there are only nine dates right now, a new record usually coincides with a lot of touring, so expect The Telepathic Butterflies to take to the North American roads for more dates in the future. Telepathic Butterflies CD Release Tour heads to these cities: September 26 Hamilton @ The Casbah September 28 Toronto @ The Horseshoe September 29 Waterloo @ The Starlight September 30 Wakefield @ The Black Sheep Inn October 2 Montreal @ The Green Room October 5 Toronto @ The 360 October 7 Windsor @ The Phog October 13 Vancouver @ The Railway Club October 16 Calgary @ Broken City http://www.telepathicbutterflies.com
