Marky
GMP Productions in association with Q107 Is proud to present Little Feat Monday, November 8, 2004 at The Phoenix Concert Theatre 410 Sherbourne Street GMP Productions in association with Q107 is proud to present a performance by Little Feat on Nov. 8,2004 at The Phoenix Concert Theatre. Opening the show will be special guest David Gogo. This intimate performance promises to be memorable event. Little Feat takes their brand of infectious groove rock to Canada from Nov.8-Nov.9 making stops in Toronto and Ottawa. Little Feat formed 1969 and released numerous studio and live albums. After producing hits such as “Willin’,”“Easy To Slip,” “Dixie Chicken,” “Fat Man In the Bathtub,” “Rock & Roll Doctor,” “Spanish Moon,” and “Time Loves A Hero,” the group split in 1979. Guitarist/vocalist Paul Barrere and keyboardist Bill Payne crossed paths at a chance jam session in 1986, which rekindled the Little Feat flame and ultimately led to the band reforming in 1988. Little Feat has a huge music catalog and on this tour fans can expect to hear songs spanning its entire 35-year career, as well as selections from “Kickin’ It at the Barn”. The band is also known for switching their set around from night to night. “This year we are going to greatly expand our repertoire so that the shows will be even more diverse than before, if that’s possible,” said Barrere. Canadian reaction to the release of David Gogo’s "Skeleton Key" has been sensational. So far it has generated critical acclaim and has been successful at the retail level. Two rock radio singles have charted across the country on leading rock stations representing most Canadian cities. Introducing new audiences to the blues has been important to Gogo and this has been reflected in his grabbing the "guitarist of the year" honours at the 2003 edition of the Toronto Blues Society's Maple Blues Awards in January.
