CookieMonster
I just read this article and thought I would share it. Anyone ever seen this guy live or heard his music?http://www.canada.com/entertainment/story.html?id=464d5eda-73b3-486e-9d98-1d1c12ffd9e1At age 17, he left home to follow jambands like Phish and search for a purpose in life. Even then, however, he says he knew there was a spiritual being that guided him: "I would always feel that God was with me."
PhishyK
Reggae music is a gift... born out of slavery and the oppression of the African people... with the power to break down every boundary and topple every wall. What music has crossed more cultural lines? None, I think!!Thanks to the big G in the sky for reggae music.
TheGoodRev
Yeah this guy is great. Would love to see him at the Pepper Jack. I have a vid of him performing on Jimmy Kimmel, here it is:http://therev.spin45.net/matisyahu.wmvHis toast is good, but I took a quick perusal of his site and most of his other tunes don't really feature his MCing. I hear he does a lot of patois in the live show, though. The band is pretty killer too. I'd definately see him if he came to town.
Kaidy Mae
Thanks Rev! That dude's pretty good. Couldn't help but think of Weird Al Yankovic though.
