Internationally renowned, Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson has entertained the world with his mastery over the piano for over 40 years. Born in Montreal, he is famous for his piano playing prowess, speed, dexterity and ability to swing at any tempo. Peterson has recorded with such greats as Dizzy Gillespie & Clark Terry and did some 2-piano performances with Count Basie. In 1964, he composed the monumental tribute to Canada, “Canadiana Suite”. His distinguished career includes two hundred albums, 7 Grammy’s, is a member of the Juno Hall of Fame, and was voted best jazz pianist for the year by the readers of Down Beat for 12 years. He is a Companion of the Order of Canada and is the subject of numerous documentaries and books. The legendary jazz artist will be performing with Neils Pederson on bass, Martin Drew on drums, and Ulf Wakenius on guitar.
