bokonon
A rare appearance of Andre and the Giants this Saturday June 17th at the Brantford Armouries, 18 Brant Ave (big red building by the bridge that goes over the river). Andre is one of the most passionate musicians I've ever seen. The repertoire will be peppered with originals and covers including the Beatles, Janis Joplin, Stevie Wonder and other greats from bygone eras. The best of which by far are the originals. Andre's songs lyrically remind me of Bob Dylan, and musically a combination of the Beatles and something darker, perhaps even orchestral. Between the three members of the band there are over 70 years of professional playing experience. Cover is $10, all proceeds go towards the wedding of Don Martin and Erica Henley (yes, this show is a buck and doe, which means you will have a chance to win lots of booze and money at the blackjack and poker tables!)If you're coming from out of town there's lots of free crash space.
