Blane
Ok, i'm listening to tunes on shuffle. It plays about 7 random songs, then starts playing those 7 songs again (I have over 5,000 songs in my Media Player, so it's pretty much statistically impossible for this to happen repeatedly). I'm gessing the "shuffle" algorithm is wonky or something like that, but is there anyway to deal with it? I like shuffle!

Blane
winamp.itunes.I tried winamp. the setup annoys me. I'm avoiding the itunes route if I can just 'cause it's another bizarre proprietary app on your system. if i was running a mac I'd go that way, but I'm not, so I don't really see the point. Esau.
Normally I never use WMP, but I have had the exact same issue. It seems this is a some what common problem, from doing a quick google search looking for an answer. I solved the problem by clicking Ctrl+A (to highlight all tracks) and then pressing shuffle, but other issues with WMP11 have left me going back to using winamp.
