phorbesie
i don't feel like going out in the snow, so i'm gonna scrape together dinner out of stuff i have. this pasta is one i like after a cold winter's day skating or whatnot, and good for when you have nothing in the house too! i'm planning on adding a little bacon to it tonight Macaroni smothered with onions 3 Tbsp clarified butter, or 1 Tbsp butter + 1 Tbsp oil 2 onions, thinly sliced 4 boiling potatoes, cut into small chunks Macaroni (up to 1 lb) 1 cup grated Gruyere 4 Tbsp parsley s+p Heat the water for the potatoes and macaroni, meanwhile, fry the onions in the butter over medium heat, about 20 mins, until golden. Boil the potatoes about 5-10 min. depending on size, then remove to a large bowl. Cook the macaroni. Mix everything in the bowl, with lots of s+p and some extra cheese on top. serve smothered with the onions!
