bradm
http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/250150/I've been looking forward to this show for a while now. The DoneFors includes two members (the guitarist and bassist) of Mr. Something Something, the drummer from Superstack, and singer-songwriter Janine Stoll. This show is the Ottawa release party for their new CD, "How To Have Sex With Canadians."There's an article about them in XPress this week.Aloha,Brad

bradm
Definitely go. They did a couple of cool covers tonight, a Joni Mitchell tune ("Help Me"), and then later a set-ending cover of Tom Waits' "Jockey Full Of Bourbon." :thumbup:Aloha,Brad

bradm
They also have a neat bit of merchandise: you can buy a physical CD, or opt to buy a "download card" (I think that's what they called it), that's a thing about the size of (but of heavier stock than) a business card, decked out in the CD's logo/graphics, with a scratch-off bit on the back that gives you a code you can use to download the tracks. I bought a CD, so didn't really get a chance to dig into how (or from where) you get the tracks, but it seemed like a neat idea, and I haven't seen any other band sell music this way.Aloha,Brad
