TonyRage Posted January 20, 2004 Report Share Posted January 20, 2004 Hello phun people! So after months of travelling I have finally found a great band who all of you should check out if you can. They are out of Melbourne and are slowly getting their name out there. They are called the Cat Empire and the first album is self-titled. Go and download some, I know they would appreciate it. The band is made up of drums, bass, guitar, keys trumpet and 2 mcs (one of whom plays trumpet). It is a mix of ska, latin vibes, jazz and hip-hop and the live show was an absolute blast. They jammed songs and changed shit up, freestyled and got the crowd pumping. I saw them twice in one week in Byron Bay and just taken away by both shows.
