Rolling Stones Announce Tour, Plan To Cover Phish

AP Sources: The Rolling Stones will announce later today the kick off of the Rolling Stones Own The World Tour on August 21st at London’s 02 stadium. With 35 dates coming in the U.S and Canada, the band will then tour Mexico, South America, the Far East and finally Europe in the summer of 2011.

Also, during stops on the North American leg, the Rolling Stones will be adding a ‘special set’ which will consist almost entirely of Phish’s latest album, Joy. Phish are an American band hailing from Vermont. They performed Exile On Main Street during a Halloween concert last year and the Rolling Stones enjoyed their version so much they wanted to return the favor. Stay tuned for further details regarding which cities will feature the added set.
