  1. NEXT!! This is gonna be one of the last few shows i play with the Caution Jam. To be doing it with one of my favorite Ontario bands will be a blast. Ottawa was one of the very first towns I went to in my rock band daze ( first time was 1989 at Barrymores). I truly hope alot of the Ottawa gang come out to book end my Ontario experience and to hear the great music Diesel Dog is making these days.

Maybe the NRPS drummer has an expensive (or old, or rare) kit, and doesn't trust anyone else to use it? Maybe he's let someone use it in the past, and had bad things happen to it?

    Aloha,

    Brad

This is almost always the reason one musician does not lend another their stuff. I never lend my high end gear. Drop it and who pays? its weird. Like Marco said as well "why should he" the drummer is on the road and its not his responsiblity to provide gear. Its a big drag, but thats the way it goes on the "bigger" gigs. In my pre jamband days my rock band opened for many big name acts where we were told "Our stuff is set up, you can not move it so set up in front of us". None were worse than when we opened for the Ramones (2 shows in 92'). Or Blue Rodeo for that matter.

There was nothing we could do.. The show must go on... And sounds like the the Fatties played the best hand they could, given the cards they were dealt.

Also sounds like everyone still had a great time.. Wish i could have been there.

  3. YA! I was at Umphreys on tuesday and had lots of folks coming up and saying they had heard those ads.. The new Healeys is supposed to a very nice venue. We've come up with some fun ideas for the show. I think we'll see a lot of cross over jamming throughout the entire night.

I'm hoping to see lots of folks out for the entire 4/20 extravaganza weekend.. With the weather looking so good the black bull patio might be a great pre Cjam/BNB/NRPS drinking spot in the afternoons.

I wonder if they serve up the overproof Southern Comfort Jeff??

  4. WOW!! I really enjoyed that show.. To be close enough to watch professionals like that in action is very educational.. Everything the drummer played made me move,, and Pat's "Miles Davis" midi trumpet sounds were pretty cool.

Was "the pikasso" the guitar used to record One Quiet Night ??
