  1. i got a 40 gig with a colour screen about 6 months ago and it's GOLD! i didn't realize it at the time, but you can input your album covers so they show up on the screen when a song is playing. it's by no means a necessary feature, but it's REALLY EFFING COOL!!!

i'm all about the ipod. the only thing that hurt was 4 sleepless days/nights of loading cd's to itunes. well worth it though.

  2. omg omg omg omg

what do i have to do to get a copy of that????

i just got a digital projector TODAY!!!! my brother's last day working at the future shop so i hit him up for the staff discount. i pick it up on sunday.

this would be PERFECT to watch on it!!!!!!!

i'll do anything (i'm even on my knees)

  3. alright alright alright

the moustache came off as soon as i got home from work. i couldn't look at myself in the mirror with that filth

...although i did do it right and take it off in stages...my favourite stage was the one i like to call the ole boytoucher (the moustache of a mincing pedophile)

btw - the coach costume included the use of REAL brylcreem. man that stuff is sick.

  4. i personally gave these suggestions to gavin on sunday morning:

things that make you go hmmmmm

push it (salt n pepa) - jer will do the heavy breathing part.

2nd choice - c&c music factory - everybody dance now

(little known fact - mike always has to thread the needle when he hears this song)

  5. does anyone know if there's a possiblity of tickets selling out and NOT being available at the gate on saturday? i've got some new kids coming and I want to make sure they can get in...

    thanks!

    shakey

  6. #1 the website is www.contacttheband.ca , not .com (the .com is some other thing in the states that has to do with uncle kracker or something equally as bad <-- sorry uncle kracker fans)

#2 mike hunt is the guy who ate the pickle i shot outta my arse at coventry (see: http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/162066/post/162661/#162661 )

#3 canned beats better have a yard sale at CMTF

#4 i'm crashing said yard sale with a keg and a pocket full of bottle rockets

#5 our new guitar player is jeff dowdell aka "the rookie"...i plan on ensuring he gets so drunk that he falls off the stage at CTMF. he will also be lighting my bottle rockets for me at the yard sale (at which point he will be aka "the burninator") oh yeah...and he's a sick guitar player

    shakey

  7. bouche those pictures make me want to cry!!! i remember looking backwards at the crowd at coventry and seeing those orange glowsticks shooting up by the handful and then spreading and spreading and spreading...then someone else must have had a box of neopolitan ones (red, grean and blue i think) and they did the same thing. didn't have a camera on me at the time and hadn't seen anything of it till now.

    thanks!

  8. safety 4th comes from a HEAVY bender at CTMF at ghost town a few years ago...i showed up with, amongst other things, a pile of bottle rockets made by a company in the states (where else) called SAFETY 4TH INC.

we asked ourselves exactly the same question...if safety's 4th, what comes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

the list changed all weekend (explosions, fire, burning, beer, pickles), but the one constant was that unicorns come 1st, cause, i don't want to sound like a queer or nuthin', but unicorns are kickass

  9. Hey Everyone,

We're in the middle of turning our living room into

a studio so we can get started on our next album.

There's lots of work to be done, but it's going to

be amazing once it's finished. We're all very excited

about it and can't wait to start recording.

We're going to be spending more of our time

focusing on making new music and working in the

studio, so we won't be playing very many shows over

the next few months. Our last show for the rest of

2004 is coming up this weekend and we hope to see

you all there. We'll be playing all night starting at

    about 10:30.

    Here's the show info:

    Friday, November 26

    Gypsy Co-op

    815 Queen Street West

    Toronto, ON - 416-703-5069

    See you soon!

    Brian

  10. go to this website and buy this dvd (unless you can rent it somewhere, and i don't think you can - it cost less than $20 with u.s. exchange and shipping)

    www.outfoxed.org

my sister's friend brought it up from boston over thanksgiving weekend and we all watched it. i bought it online the next day and it just arrived today (fitting it would show up on november 2)

it's an expose on the entire fox news organization and it's pretty frightening. their viewership is much bigger than cnn's in the states and they blatantly push a right wing conservative view. after watching this documentary, i honestly believe that if fox news didn't exist, this race would be nowhere near as close as it is.

  11. okay, this is seriously one of the funniest things that's happened on snl, but why does everyone seem so surprised that she would be lip synching? i was under the impression that a huge number of pre-packaged artists like ashlee and her sister lip synched all the time on live tv? am i wrong?

  12. hey rob...the reason for the 58's is that we have them...i'd like to get some better mics for live recording, but then again, i could name $10,000 worth of gear i'd like to buy...different mics are on the list, they're just not a super high priority because we have the 58's available. they actually sound pretty good when we tape our shows (especially at dekcuf)...just missing the very bottom end (which is too bad cause the low end of my djembe isn't picked up as well as i'd like it to be)

    does that answer your question?
