  1. ya' date=' I try not to buy into these kind of things... but thats a damn sexy phone. if onlt it was actualy made out of bookmatched flamed maple.[/quote']

LOL, if it was, id buy it.

i wonder, since this is a collecters item, how many folks will buy one and leave it in the box for 5 yrs then ebay it?

basicaly if someone tells you its a collectors item, it will never become one.

  2. hocus pocus was a really cool book, I'd tell you about it but you shoudl read it.

its written as if it was all found on bits of paper, written by a guy in jail. its his life story about how he ended up there.

I watched generation kill as well, and the book is very similar with a couple settings and stories being somewhat different.

I have cats cradle sitting on my desk as my next book to read.

people tend to give me gift cards for chapters at xmas, because they know I like to read. so I always end up with hundreds of dollars worth after xmas. I have a backlog of about 15 books waiting to be read right now.

I don't watch tv.. so I generaly read or play vids for my entertainment.

  3. Well over th elast month I have read 6 books.

My favorite so far would have to be kurt vonneguts slaughterhouse 5.

  4. haha...

the funny thing is I have both a jazz bass and a stingray, as well as my lakland.

I have played all of the lakland basses. couldn't really get into the dj... I liked the JO5 better.

When I played guitar, I had a 52 reissue tele... best guitar I have ever played, and a very simple guitar also.

so my point was that on guitar I seem to prefer simple guitar, through single channel tube amps, no effects, with bass I seem to prefer bells and whistles and lots of effects... weird eh?

last bass I'll ever own... haha. I have bought 4 basses, this year and sold 3 as well.

  5. there are an equal amount of people, especially in the bass work that want more tone options, more pickup options and so on.

My lakland has a 3 band active preamp in it, and a coil splitting switch for the rear humbucker, which is actualy 2 humbucks put together.

every setting sound slightly different, to me. I am sure the audience can not here a thing. but I am constantly in search of the sound... that part of the musical journey for me.

PS: the lakland in my avatar is no longer with me, I sold my 55-01, and got a 44-02...

  6. I have not had alot of problems with my osap, but one that does stick out is this repayment debacle thing.

I was in co-op program and working for 8 months, and all of a sudden they wanted me to start paying them back...!! I talked to them and said I am technicaly still in school, and that I should not have to start repaying them until 6 months after I get out. they looked at there records and said that I had negelected to tell them that I was still in school and that according to them I had been out of school fro 6 months.

turns out, I was supposed to inform them I was still in school, even though I had not had to do that the other 4 years I was in school for, and this was all on my osap papers.

    arghhhhh.

  7. I saw him headline scotia bank place or whatever it is called. just a few rows back from the front, because he is one of my wifes favorites.

I went in thinking it would suck and left a bit of a fan. he was awesome. ripped it up on guitar and I even gained appreciation for some of his "pop" songs.

BTW, he is way way way more popular than spearhead.

the only thing I couldn;t get over was the shear amount of teenage girls that were at his show.
