  1. There is new vibe swirling around kitchener, ontario, with past performances this november from Downtime, Caution Jam, Mike Filipowitsch (BNB guitar guy solo), and Nero, this venue is shaping up to be "the place to be" (god I hate that expression. Anyhow sounds like a cool vibe, especially the teusday open jams.. clubs with vision.

The Circus Room - 729 King St. E, Kitchener

    infoline (519)743-0368

    End Of November Lineup

    24 - Snack!

    26 - The Drunken Uncles

    27 - Matt Osbourne's Open Jam

    28 - Mike Filipowitsch

    29 - Friends of Hefner

    30 - Yaqui Mystic

  2. Caution Jam seems to like playing more in the winter I think... the last few times I caught them (Jerry Shows, Healy's, Comfort Zone) they really got the crowd happy. With one set at the 360's Jerry Shows featuring Jeff Heisholt (Keys, Burt Neilson Band) and the Show at Healy's once again featured a long jam with The Club's owner and blues God.. Jeff Healy. so I am obviously psyched to see that again, when they Play Healy's this saturday. The December 1st show at the Bacchus lounge is shaping up to be a good show. London is home to a few good jambands, such as Kangaroo.. among others, the vibe is their, just come feel it.

    Upcoming Shows around ontario.

    Nov 24 - Healey's, Toronto

Nov 30 - The Press Club, Windsor

Dec 21 - The Comfort Zone, Toronto

Dec 23 - The Circus Room, Kitchener (new vibe brewing)

come support these longtime jammers as they criss cross ontario spreading joy (Yay!).

sometime after that the Band "Professor Plum" will entertain.. For those that gave Downtime!! a chance this week, I am guessing you'll be showing, cause they seem to be booking KICK ASS bands lately..

Last Night (for those that missed it.. I'm so sorry.. )

Downtime, was OUTSTANDING.. tore the roof and the floor off the place. drummers came out in reasonable numbers, and people seemed to be having a good time. it grooved till they kicked us out..

Jimmy Swift, Then Downtime, Professor Plum Next Week.. Grand Theft Bus The Week after.. Bring Back Tala and get someone Like Nero.. and that could be quite the vibe..

anyhow.. anyone there next wednesday.. see you then..

  8. personally I hope that this isn't true, not because I am some jeffery groupie or anything, I am just a firm believer in auxilliary percussion. thickens the swirling rythms..

hope everything goes well for him regardless.

the world needs more conga guys

  9. this is a call to all toronto heady sorts of people who want to have their mind blown by a band other than grand theft bus, or BNB... check this out....

there is a really cool band from pei doing a show in toronto at the comfortzone (yes I know groan with me, I know its freekin dirty).. go to it.. free and this band kicks ass

they are called Downtime... my best description is MMW meets moe, with a dash of phishyness..

you must check this out, bring your drums, make it a vibe, just because I said so.. and I don't lie.. its good shit.
