Hey Bacon,
Yup. We'll be going to the Guelph and Toronto shows for sure. London is still up in the air though. Playing that one by ear.
Looking foward to some good parties.
-
Hey Bacon,
I think your thinking of Carol of the Bells. They did it last year for their Xmas party.
-
Hey everybody, how's it going?
I was just wondering if anybody knew where I could get a copy of the nero Christmas show from last year. There version of Carol of the Bells was incredible.
If anybody is interested in trading for this one you can check out my list at:
PS. Good times in Ottawa this past weekend and nice to meet some of you.

It's gotta be Guinness. Mmmm Mmmmm Good
-
Thanks CatPhish,
I haven't seen those guys in a long time and was wondering what had happened to them. I'm glad to hear they are still playing.
Maybe I'll go to Toronto and see them AND nero tonight. Hooray

Jughead?
Does anyone know if this is the same Jughead who used to play every Saturday at the Black Bull in Toronto?
The guy who played bass in this band used a overturned washtub with a piece of bailing twine tied to the centre and the other end tied to a broomstick. He even did solo's on it.

Hey Booche,
Donna the Buffalo has an mp3 download page at:
http://theherd.virtualmajic.com/
and also have a .shn show with Peter Rowan posted on gdlive.com in the misc. new shows section from 5/2/01.
They are an upbeat, zydeco(ish), fun sort of band. I haven't seen them live yet, though I would imagine it would be a wild dance party.

Hey Gentle Monkey,
You should check out the Warts and All album of moe. Killer live show. The Moth -> Timmy Tucker is phenominal and I really like the song Crab Eyes. The guitar and xylophone remind me alot of a Zappa style tune.
-
Lately:
Donna the Buffalo with Peter Rowan 5/4/01
Grateful Dead 8/27/72 Smokin' Soundboard from Gdlive.com
moe. 3/8/01
Jimi Hendrix - Electricladyland
Frank Zappa - Zappa in New York
Good call on that Reba Zimmerman pt 2. It is pretty sweet.
-
moe. is apparently going on at 5:30 so that would lead one to believe that there will be two sets of both moe. and Phil, or at least a really long moe. set. They usually shut shows down by 11:00 at the Ampitheatre.

Kick Ass!
I'll definately be making the trip to Toronto!!
-
So I went to the Gordon Best last night to check out Estradasphere and apparently they weren't allowed across the border. Hopefully this doesn't end their Canadian tour but we'll just have to wait and see.

Living in igloo's, travelling via dogsled, saying "eh" at the end of every sentence, listening to Anne Murray, knowing that guy from Regina with brown hair and then giving an equal exchange rate for Canadian Tire money for anyone who believes that.

Hey Bacon,
I've got 2/26/77 and it is a kick ass show. One of my favourites. If your interested in trading that's cool.
3/19/77 and 2/11/70 are also sweet shows and 4/29/71 has quite possibly the sweetest Hard To Handles ever played.
-
Well if that just doesn't smack the stink off a cat's ass. I was kind of dissapointed when they didn't come up here on the spring tour, but this rocks.
-
Last night was a lot of fun. These guys are really pulling out all the stops for their last few shows. The Thriller Jam and Frankenstein kicked me right in the ass.
See you tomorrow.

SCI 4/8/99 My first Cheese show

I saw those guys a few years ago at Stages in Kitchener. The sax player had his fly down for the entire show and some guy in the bathroom told me not to drop acid under my eyelids because it burns too much. All in all a decent cover band.
-
Those pictures are really sweet. You managed to get some nice stage shots and the one of you and Mud is quite cool.
I really enjoy The Scofield with Medeski, Stubblefield and Wood show you sent me. Beautiful stuff. Reminds me of the MMW Montreal jazz festival show.
I've updated my trading list at:
Does anyone know if the Dalai Lama's are broken up? They are still listed as playing in Peterborough tomorrow night on jambase.com.
