I agree with you Caspien. It was just an oversite during the time we were making the rules. Neither myself or anyone else caught it. Because of that I decided to allow trades as long as the players are both active and did not apply the 10 point rule. So no trades for retired or season ending injured players.

There are many rules I would have liked to tweak but in fair play have not suggested it. It;s not perfect but I think still enjoyable.

We are trying to have a fun pool but at the same time keep it competitive. We can learn from the glitches this year and iron them out for next year.

Somethings I would like:

-Have the 10 Point system for both waivers and trades.

-Have the rules state - No trading Retired or Season injured players to avoid this situation again.

-More waiver pickups. Many teams went through them so fast.

or

-Every team draft an additionsl 3 to 5 players and use that as their own personal injured reserve.

Just a few ideas and i'm sure many people will have more. We can hammer it out over the off season. As for now lets just keep the course as it is.

I think thats a fair trade off, your allowed to firesale but not retired or injured. Fair enough.

Now down to business who in my division wants Saku Koivu he's got some pretty sucky stats only 36 points.

Before ya'll vote Green, remember to do your homework on them. It's my understand that they are a very Right thinking group, that has adopted a "Green" stance to try and pull in a lot of the Environmental sympathetics that may otherwise be voting more Left...

This is why they should be included in the debate. We need more people critiqueing their platform. If they are right leaning then Mr. Layton will make sure that it's loud and clear. From going through their website I haven't gotten the opinion that they are right leaning but you could be correct I haven't taken an extensive look yet.

That's crazy because I had the exact same situation when I arrived at work yesterday. I was locking up my bike and this small black bird with a blue patch of feathers on his back was struggling to get on its feet. He leaned his body against a bike tire in exhaustion. As I watched wondering what I could do to help I thought the same thing as you, how beautiful yet disturbingly sad.

Because I had a lot of work to do I let the building security know and they took care of it, hopefully they did all they could to help it.

I just read on hockeytraderumors.com that Ilya Kovalchuk has just signed with a russian team without an out clause. I would assume that we would treat this as an injury and the hubbers that picked him would be able to trade him right away?

The same is to be said for Pavel Datsuk but i'm assuming nobody picked him yet.

I was using the epson R200 at work and just recently purchased the newer R320. The quality of prints is really good. The reason we bought the R320 was because the rollers on the R200 kept on getting stuck and you had to give the disc tray a little budge but it still works today, its just a pain in the ass sometimes. As far as I know you do have to use their program to print (I could be wrong) because it controls the rollers to pull the tray in. So you have to convert to Jpeg or Gif. For price & quality colour prints this is the only option on the market, that I know of. We use it all the time. One other thing to remember, ink is very expensive and it takes 6 different colours so you only have to replace the colours you use. Each cartridge is around $20. Although, it should come with full cartridges.

Since this is dubbed as the Little Summer Classic are we going to get two stages?? Do I smell seamless sets??? (Streetsleeper > Funky Shoes)

Thats cool Shain. Thanks for following up on this. Hopefully phish isn't to tight on who and how much they release the rights for.

Hopefully this will happen.

I just called the marketing department at the Docks in Toronto and suggested that they show the simulcast of phish's last show in their drive-in theatre. The issue that they have is that it's a weekend and they would have to draw enough cars to cancel other movies that weekend. They know who Phish is and how popular they are but its kind of late notice to change the schedule BUT if they get enough interest they could do it. Everyone should call them and let them know how much you want to see this and how much support they could get if they showed it in an outdoor theatre. The phone number is 416 469 5655.
