nice. that was a good show, that tune in particular seemed to have everyone in the place bouncing...even the surly security guys seemed to be getting in to it.

nice one. i've been up near shelburne and walked through the windfarm up there, hardly heard a thing. i would be happy to have wind turbines in my view, like larry llama says, better than looking at a coal plant (or a nuke plant).

A US company is taking plastics recycling to another level - turning them back into the oil they were made from, and gas.
All that is needed, claims Global Resource Corporation (GRC), is a finely tuned microwave and - hey presto! - a mix of materials that were made from oil can be reduced back to oil and combustible gas (and a few leftovers).
Key to GRC's process is a machine that uses 1200 different frequencies within the microwave range, which act on specific hydrocarbon materials. As the material is zapped at the appropriate wavelength, part of the hydrocarbons that make up the plastic and rubber in the material are broken down into diesel oil and combustible gas.

tannis is an awesome singer, and a totally humble person to boot. glad to see her getting some well deserved recognition. yay to corb lund too, another deserving singer/songwriter.

Sheeeepers, how exciting!
Are you milking them (seeing as they came from a dairy farm I assume they give milk)?
Do you HAVE to milk them, and if so how often?
no milk yet, although itchy is rumoured to be pregnant, so if we get a lamb we will also get milk.

So our place outside Guelph is zoned agricultural, and came with a small barn and a large lawn. A friend with a sheep dairy got given these two, and discovered that they were too small to stay with the rest of his flock. He had been looking for a new home for them, it seemed to all fit together perfectly...so last weekend, we drove up to Hillsburgh and came home with two sheep. They are our new lawn mowers and fertilizer producers, and are terribly cute to boot.
Itchy is the lighter coloured and currently friendlier one. Scratchy is still a bit skittish, but that should disappear with time.

Their sandwiches were actually pretty good at first but now they taste of cleaning product.
Plus their coffee is brutal. And I get douche chills anytime someone says "Timmies".
i have noticed a general trend toward disinterested help with a realxed attitude toward hygiene at tim hortons, and am way less interested in eating most of their food. they win out over no food at all, but not by a hell of a lot.

most government business seems to be done through web-based tendering services. i signed up through the company I work for, and from what i can tell it's all about the lowest price, geography doesn't seem to enter in to winning tenders.

"mmmm! dat's a good coffee!"
Pasquale was apparently fond of glass(es) of wine while cooking. the management of the tv station had issues with drinking on air, so he offered to use a coffee cup.
