nice.
i just got off the phone with the slip's tour manager. he told the slip are tight as fuck right now and can't wait to bust out a long set. due to the fact that they only been able to 30-45mins per night opening for MMJ.
get ready its going to be a long three nights!!
also he told me that there only going to have around 60 cd's with them, so i'd come out early.

no hippies either

i try to have local talent on every show i do.
i think i've only done one show that didn't have local talent, that was BSS w/Stars two night in Hailfax, so there wasn't any room for a local opener.
-
i have the night off but of funds : (
-
i'm not sure if i should wish you good luck out getting laid off. or good luck on keeping your job.
either way we'er less then one week for the start of the slip tour. so i guess i'll wish you a happy slippy week.
oh and the best way to get laid off is to tell your boss you going on tour for a week.
-
they were the first thought in my mind when i decided to do the show in guelph. i remember being very impressed when i mixed there set at this passed CTMF (alway be nice to the sound guy he always has the hook up). it was the first time seeing them for me. But then the lovely feathers and kill lights came in a package deal for the tour witch was very good.
i glad to have some local talent on the bill!!
-
I posted in another thread that Lovely Feathers are playing in Montreal on the 8th, so they're def. not going to be in Guelph.
you mean Dec 7th not 8th
they will be playing Hamilton and Ottawa.
-
The line up for the Guelph it will be:
The Slip
What The Thunder Said
Kill The Lights
-
no one can seam to give me a yes or no on it.
if you look at every ones web site you would think that the lovely feathers are playing Montreal.
so I've gone ahead and replaced them with What The Thunder Said for the second opening act.
so for the Guelph line up it will be:
The Slip
What The Thunder Said
Kill The Lights
there will be new promo in Guelph Friday night.

I remember when the music store I work at could afford to play (read: promote) the music they sell in the store' date=' but now that SOCAN is so efficient at gathering cash for their clients, no music gets played and cd sales have plummeted. Way to go SOCAN.[/quote']
Sounds like your music store gained some financial benefit from playing music in the store and refused to acknowledge that.
sound like the band gained some financial benefit from the music store playing there cd.
thats how i read it.
