hey weezy and any other vancouver-ites, i'm just wondering if you know of anything going on in the big city next friday, the 8th. i have a buddy from home flying in from japan that night (for any chatham peeps, it's corey wells), he has an overnight delay so we're going over to see him. anything? also - i'm leaning toward staying on the island thurs, since i'm going to be over there in a week... money stuff... blah. anyway, let me know. cheers

hey weez - i'm going to give this some serious thought, b/c i don't have class thurs or friday (nothing crucial anyway). public transit is a bit of a headache but much easier on the wallet. i'll let you know if i'm coming for sure. cheers

mmmm i would love to see the nero-tala show, that sounds tasty.... getting to the mainland is a problem tho - it is so damn expensive to bring your car over! almost $80 round trip. we shall see, b/c i don't think there's anything that interesting shakin in vic that night....

saw nero last night here in vic after a few false alarms, and it was thoroughly worth waiting a few more days. it was awesome to see them again, esp on the island as we don't get a whole lot of good bands rolling thru, and the show was sweet. one long set, they played my favourite song and i don't know the name of it, and i went home a very satisfied customer. thanks a ton guys you rock!

i think this might be a solo mission for me since it's stupid meat market club nite for the kids, so if there's aaaanybody out there partying before or what have you, let me know. fire it up!

i wish i could go! new deal was awesome in victoria on wednesday, slightly more mellow than past shows but the drummer said he tore the crap out of his neck so that's probably why. i love blue quarter too. have fun!

hey y'all, just wanted to say i had a huge blast at the nero show at laurier. my first time and i was very very impressed. it was awesome to meet a bunch of people from this board, everyone was really really cool! thanks for the good time people!

i think so.. i think the crowd was a little less wacky b/c it was at the commodore and not an actual rave, but we got the little mouthie glow sticks just to cheese itup . a fabulous time!

right on i'm fired up, i'm actually not coming from chatham though i'm coming from the Tdot b/c i'm flying in there on wednesday. than to chatham on friday. see you guys!!!

yeah, i've seen these guys a few times, they play in vic at least once a week (every thurs @ lucky on yates) the first time i saw them since spring was last weekend here at the school, and they were really kicking ass. the drummer is pretty awesome. i think he looks like chris kattan. they used to play on the street down town for money, and i guess people caught on! everybody should get out to see them for some booty-shakin fun!

to everybody who told me to go see DJ Sasha - THANK YOU!!!! he rocked my ass man, everybody's , the commodore was on fire!! what a great night. i am one happy camper! also - i just found otu that i'm coming home for thanksgiving - i'm going to see nero for the first time this thursday at u of waterloo, i mean laurier, if all goes well! hey gm, yeah i've heard of the soundgarden, it's on store street, but i haven't been there. i'm pretty sure it used to be called something else. i see their flyers up a lot but nothing's really caught my eye yet.

i'm so happy, the first show in vic since i've been back. aaaaaaanybody around for this? they're playing at legends (too bad!) on october 16th.

i only have out of the madness, but i think it's a wicked album. saw derek trucks for the first time this summer, they had some great guests too incl susan tedeschi, it was a really great show, derek's slide playing knocked me on my ass.

thanks everybody, i was a little freaked out about going since it's my first just DJ show, but now i'm super-psyched! i'll let you know how it goes!
