  1. Don't know if anybody here has checked this site out yet. It is a pretty cool music site setup for independent artists to get their music heard. You are not going to find any well known established artists here, but there is plenty of good music. Absolutely free to register and listen to the music online or relatively inexpensive to pay for credits for downloads.

or to purchase a card with download credits

  2. I havent been to the Casino in Niagara Falls, however it looks like most of the shows they get there are kinda pricey as far as tix go ($70-$100)

All the reports I have heard is that is a good sounding theatre however.

Also, from the reports I have seen so far it looks like Tom Petty will be the headline act in Darien Lake (mightbe a double bill, but it seems Petty will be playing after ABB)

  3. I have been to a number of shows at Rama, and if you have floor seats there, they will let you go up to an area in front of the stage for dancin and such, but if you stay in the seating area they really frown on the standing and dancing, I assume Niagara is pretty much the same. A casino just doesnt seem like the right kind of venue for a band like ABB, and I really cant imagine them opening for Petty.

  4. For anyone who is interested, I came across this review of opening night in NYC of David Gilmour tour

"Last night, David Gilmour kicked off the North American leg of his On an Island tour with a two-set performance at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. Similar to his recent European outing, Gilmour used the first half of his performance to showcase material from On An Island, dipping into Pink Floyd’s canon later in the evening. Performing with a streamlined version of The Division Bell-era Pink Floyd, including founding keyboardist Rick Wright, Gilmour ran through a breadth of material, ranging from Syd Barrett’s “Dominoes†to his own “High Hopes.†During Pink Floyd classics like “Breathe†and “Comfortably Numb,†Gilmour and Wright traded verses, bringing the audience to their feet. On a set-closing version of “Echoes,†Gilmour also debut a new laser show, washing Radio City Music Hall’s balconies in bright green light. Reprising their On An Island cameos, David Crosby and Graham Nash supplied backing vocals on “The Blue†and the album’s title cut, returning at the start of Gilmour’s second set for “Shine on You Crazy Diamond.†In between “Wish You Were Here†and a show-closing “Comfortably Numb,†Crosby, Nash and Gilmour also performed an a cappella version of “Find The Cost Of Freedomâ€, from CSNY’s live LP Four-Way Street. Gilmour will return to Radio City Music Hall tonight for a second performance."

  6. The question I have is simply at what point does a crime become "serious" enough that we get upset by loopholes in the system that allow the offender to go free? Because essentially this guy is probably gonna wind up beating the cocaine charge on a "technicality or loophole" in the system. If he was a child molester or rapist everyone would be all in favor of his arrest regardless of how it came about.

Obviously cocaine possesion isnt as socially abhorrent as child molesting or rape, but it is still a crime.

I have always believed in the old adage "Dont do the crime, if you cant do the time"

If you choose to break the law, dont whine about it when you get caught.
