  1. Happy b-day Sags!! The Sadies/the moho is TONIGHT! Gonna be a good time, but if you are going then you already know that I suppose. There is still some tickets left for at the door but I'd say be there fairly early. doors at 9pm,music 10:30pm. weeeee!
  2. This saturday is The Sadies at The MoHo in Peterborough. If you have ever been to the moho you know this is a match made in heaven, old Tavern/The Sadies YESss. Peterborough has been waiting for a Sadies show for quite sometime. Tickets are $10 at the bar 282 Aylmer street Peterborough. I have been told all their recent Ontario shows are selling out and this is their cheapest ticket price on the tour. I have a feeling it will sell out so try to grab a ticket or be there early. Doors at 9pm, show at 10:30pm. Don't miss it.
  3. Damn, in my rush to explain how awesome the show will be, I forgot that point. This is indeed in Peterborough at The Moho (The Montreal House). This sat Nov 24th.
  4. Sometime in the near future I'd like to do two different "style" nights at the MoHo, each night with two to three acts. 1-Bluegrass 2-Rockabilly I'm stating this here to see if there are some suggestions as to great canadian acts (or people touring ontario early new year) that would fit these two nights. I feel like these are two styles of music Peterborough needs more of. Any thoughts? Truth be told I wish I could start up a regular bluegrass night with some great players.
  5. Thought some people here might appreciate this music. This show is for anyone that enoys flatpicking/bluegrass/instrumental/Jazz/Avant garde experimentation/good times. This is serious mind blowing stuff, and they are joined by a couple great roots acts as well, Deep Dark woods and Shuyler Jensan. Creaking tree have been up for Junos, they're sound is hard to pin point you'll have to listen yourself. $7 at the door. http://www.creakingtree.com/CreakingTree.html http://www.myspace.com/deepdarkwoods http://www.shuylerjansen.com/
  6. We hadn't played there in quite sometime and then did a show a few weeks back, it felt great and lots of folks came out. We decided to keep our tradition of doing new years there, so that will be our next one and then probably not another for quite awhile. I guess I shouldn't call it an old haunt, we are still haunting it! Hotels, not really sure there, I'll check it out and get back.
  7. That night is not one of mine at The MoHo, it's a cover band called MidLife Crisis. Maybe I'll see you guys around for a beer that night.
  8. Hello all, My name is James, I know a few of you from seeing you at my bands shows (The Spades). Well I am not here to talk about that, actually I started helping with bookings at our old haunt The MoHo in Peterborough and wanted to share some of the stuff I have lined up for the next month. If it is offensive in anyway being that it is my first post, I apologize, just a little excited to be working on bringing these shows to the Patch. Let me know what you think of the line up so far: Nov 2nd - BoB Wiseman w/Evening Hymnes Nov 3rd Two Hours Traffic Nov 9th NQ Arbuckle Nov 16th BA Johnson w/Baby Eagle and The Sweet Homewreckers Nov 17th Elliot Brood w/ Acorn and Sunparlour Players Nov 24th The Creaking Tree String Quartet w/Lotus white Dec 1st THE SADIES Well I'm pretty happy with it so far. www.themoho.ca also open to ideas of who people think might be a good band to have at The MoHo.
