  1. My first show was James Taylor in Central Park in, I think, 1976. I was about seven and my mom took me along with a bunch of her friends. The two things I really remember were a couple of hippies sitting next to us offering my mom their joint which is very funny if you know my mom. The other being JT played that song "Whenever I see your smiling face, I have to smile myself because I love you..." or whatever it's called. My first real rock concert was the Dead in New Haven CT. apr 1984 when I was 15 and that's when the fun really started! The most incredible, emotional, beautiful, and I dare say, spiritual show was once again the Dead. Brendan Byrne 10/16/89. As far as shows missed I'd have to say anything by either Frank Zappa or the Ramones. By the way, I agree with Dr hux about Andre being the mandolin player who inspires us all. Peace out

  2. The eleven (one of my all time favs) was awesome. Mickey's rap during Fire was great too. Can't wait to get the tapes. Hopefully I'll be making Boston, but right now eveything is snowed in. It was great seeing everyone who made it (sorry you could't be there Sharon, damn you are responsible). Later

  3. Velvet has it partly right on reaction to Columbine and MM in general here. Even though Vermont is pretty different than most of the rest of the country, we do have a sizable number of people who are obsessed with a relatively minor clause in the second amendment. The people in this country who are fans of MM would vote for him for president. The people watching Cops waiting to vote for president Shrub have never even heard of Michael Moore. The problem is you cant try reasoning with a moron with a flag in one hand and a gun in the other. And after that I need a trip up north again. Cant wait to see the movie either btw but i gotta go cuz Cops is on ha-ha.

  4. If anyone is ever heading down to the Burlington, vt. area you should check out the web site, sevendaysvt.com, it has all the info on area music and general happenings. If you've been down here you might recognize it as a local free newspaper. Keep on keeping on.
