anyhoo, it sucked. mighta been the travel, the leftover salmon, any number of factors, but it wasn't that good.

then, i was at New Orleans jazz fest this year - saw karl (still as KDTU!) at tipitinas. DANCED MY ASS OFF TIL 5AM and I C OULDN"T STAND NO MORE.

awesome. kdtu has been redeemed in my books. one of my fave after-hours shows of jazzfest (though i missed lucinda, and aparently she killed, though her jazzfest slot was a snoozer)

anyhoo, have fun at hillside. karl &his TU are rockin.

p.s. get yer asses down to new orleans - MAN is that city sweet!

I *really* want to watch some playoff hockey, but I can't stream it off the CBC - it knows I'm in California.

I haven't found a bar here that plays hockey ( I know, what the hell am I doing in a place like this!?!?!?) and I haven't found an american website where I can stream the game (only highlights)

i need to choose 1 weekend. either weekend of the new orleans jazz fest, or the wanee music fest at live oak, FL.

i checked out the wanee line-up and thought SHIT YA!.... but then i checked out the list for new orleans and thought HOLY F*CK!

I think new orleans wins, though i've been told it's a troubled place to go as a single woman out-of-her-element...

any thoughts? experiences? much appreciated.
