  1. I think that Dr. Evil Mouse and StoneMtn are going...I was going to go with a couple of friends but I have a Dentist's appointment.

What a great first post! Welcome to 'the board'

  2. Trying not to sound like everybody else, I saw this on IMAX and wished I'd have seen it on plain ol' digital. The Imax Screens are this silvery mesh and something tells me that the colour would have been richer on a regular screen.

Still, a 6 storey new-3D movie with enormous sound is certainly great entertainment.

  3. I honestly think you'll enjoy living anywhere-even more certainly, if you adopt the makeup and facial expressions of your avatar.

It sure seems to have worked for you!

I was truly spoiled in downtown Vancouver and want to ease back in from country living) - bars/music/restaurants are secondary to me at this point but I don't want to paint myself into a corner.

older homes and bigger trees, close to markets and transit please.

If I can get an amazing space for under $800 a month (I'm looking online with little luck for incredible apartments...so neighbourhood is making a difference) then I'm set.

High ceilings, studio/loft apartment with decent plumbing and lots of windows...I'd be almost anywhere in the city for a place like that especially if I could make all the noise I'd want.

  4. Moving to the city and I'm looking for a good part of the city to live...

Centretown/Hintonburg is my first thought, but where else is worth looking for a great space within walking distance to amenities and is still affordable (cheap) to rent?

  5. or, don't buy into their pretentious hipster bullshit and just get it itunes :)

or...get the record and put some effort into listening to tangible media. There's nothing inherently wrong with pretense...but a facade can seem lame and get tedious when there's a bit too much disconnect.

  6. Holy crap - scamming people must be big business.

the thunder and sheer enormity of those clouds is keeping me from settling into my hammock outside.
