  1. i hate tax time. im a sub-contracter with my own business # and GST#, and i get taxed way too hard. i think im looking at owing about 10k this year, before any deductions ie: tools,supplies/materials, food, gas, etc etc. Ive been looking at a mountain of paperwork for about a week now, just dreading it. somehow i cant seem to get motivated to do my taxes, yet i can find the motivation to do other stuff that i WANT to do

    friggin taxes.

  2. im reminded of one fine highschool afternoon, going to a dealers apt, hitting the old bongo in his room, and hearing this muffled meowing, non stop, so i asked him wtf is that? he says oh shit! i forgot my cat was in there! turns out hes got a cat in a drawer of a dresser, so he can blow him tokes, the cat had been in there for an hour or better. this guy also had a big helmet in the shape of a bears head that he fit over the cats heads and blew them tokes thru a hose in the helmet.

    what an idiot

  3. killers!

my wife probably wont read this so i think im safe. she told me when we were watching this flick that as a young girl she had a crush on Optimus Prime

how many of you other ladies out there can say that

  4. my loverly wife makes this awesome kale w/ noodles. its so simple even i made it the other night while she was lazing on the couch.

i was going to halfass it but i went n got the book for the proper recipe

    1 large bunch kale (1 to 1.5 lbs)rinsed

8 ounces noodles (your choice, but a spagetti type works well)

1.5 to 2 tsp toasted sesame oil

1.5 to 2 tsp tamari or shoyu or soy sauce

1.5 tbsp toasted sesame seeds(just chuck em in a pan while the noodles boil)

get a pot of water boiling, then slice the kale as fine as you can after discarding the larger stems.when water is boiling, drop in your noodles and cook them for 5 mins LESS than the pack says. Add the kale in a few batches, making sure it all gets submerged. continue cooking uncovered for the last 5 mins to finish up the noodles, keep on pressing on the kale if it floats to the top.

drain the pasta and kale in a colander. Return the kale n pasta to the pot, and toss in the tamari and sesame oil to taste. (i always use more than the recipe calls for.) with a fork separate any bunches of kale that are sticking together, toss in sesame seeds. it says you can serve hot or cool, but i like it hot.

we throw some chopped tomatos on top. this recipe only takes 10 mins and its tasty.

    cheers

  5. 1/4 oz of the dankest headiest nugs available

    1 lb butter.

Rough chop nugs and add to the butter. Melt the butter slowly over a double boiler pan. Bring to a simmer and let cook for approx 45 minutes to an hour. Add to your cookie recipe in place of butter, margerine or oil.

dont forget to use unsalted butter, and once its melted, scoop the foam off the top, or clarify the butter before you add the nugs. ive also heard the longer you let the pot+butter simmer, the stronger the butter will be in the end.

then, just grind up some mushrooms to a powder, mix in with your favourite frosting, and voila! you have the trippyest cookies/cupcakes on the lot!

  6. ive been with Koodo for a few months now, since sept. or so, and i love it. mind you, for my work, sometimes im calling back to the shop in burlington from kitchener, past toronto, etc, so i use a fair bit of long distance, what sold me on the koodo was that theres no charge for LD mins. its the same as a normal minute. i think its 25cents. for 50$ a month, i get 300mins between 7am-7pm, ive never gone over, and its free weeknds, free 7pm to 7am, free txt and data transfers, got a decent camera w/zoom. another sweet touch of these koodo goofs is the koodo tab. when i got my phone, i thnk it was like 100 bucks, but they just put it on your tab, and every month, they take 5% of your bill, and take it off your tab. so in 2 r 3 yrs, ive got a free phone.

not sure if its the right deal for you, but maybe check out the website i think its koodomobile.com

  7. i think all you can access from the back is the tremolo? its been years since ive owned a strat, but i would definitly look in the guitar and see if anything looks bad, even if it doesnt look bad, the solder joint still might be broken. if the diff. amp n cables dont sort it out, it might be worth it to look thru the inner wiring and retouch any sketchy looking solderjoints

nice ricky, bouche, i bet it does ring

    good luck

  8. Quinoa is a grain and is also a whole protien.

not only is it a great food for humans, mushrooms enjoy it as well. i used to always add this to my substrate mix when growing the magic, which i dont do anymore. i do believe its high in tryptophan, which is a precursor to psilocin and psilocybin

we usually eat about 2 or 3 veggie meals every week, sometimes its great, sometimes im left hungry.

  9. we went to a dinner party over the xmas holidays at some friends, they have always been the ritzy type, you know, napkins all folded and tucked into wine glasses and shit, really soft music and candles. everyones gotta have friends like this, the type that make you feel cheap when you go there lol. anyways, he wrapped bacon around a little bundle of asparagus spears and it was fucking GREAT! never had it before, and im looking forward to trying it again.

  10. there should be a 'light saber' drive transister hooked up to a button on Yoda's light saber that would turn it on. LEDs wouldn't draw much power, and there are passive transistors that work like distortion pedals...so one 9V battery would last a long time.

That would be ultimitely the coolest Star Wars Guitar feature...

But that is still a cool guitar.

LEDs arent trannies, theyre diodes, light emitting diodes, hence the name. but you are right, 1 9v would last forever just powering an led, well, it depends on what size resister you had between the 9v and the led, a 1-4K resister would light it up bright enough to burn your eyes lol but would burn out quicker, most pedals use a 5k, but you could use larger, get a dimmer light, but make it last 3 times as long.

cool guitar, but im not really into star wars, in fact ive never seen one of those films all the way thru, i always get bored/distracted and leave lol

  11. i just built a batch of sitar simulaters(sp) for guitar, just a little stompbox that sounds pretty convincing. once i get them into their boxes, ill post up some sound samples. its a small enough circuit to fit it in an altoids tin im thinking.

  12. Killer time last night at Touche. Thanks to Brian and all his staff, and all who came out. great show by Bramwell, really nice stuff. and Tazman blues set was great, some reallllly good jams last night. took a few shitty cell pics, even got the drunk broad trying to play jays kit at the end of the night, but alas, the pic isnt worthy of posting, you can barely tell who is sitting behind the drums
