Sorry Booche but you are incorrect. You can still get through with a regular licence. They are allowing a grace period so all the lazies can get their acts together. They will grill you to no end and may pull you in for a search, but it is worth the minor inconveience to make your vacation happen. I crossed with a friend in July in the same situation so I know first hand.

sp3 has a number of security problems when its on a network. and yes i did try installing sp2 over sp3. sp3 is blocking communication between a pc and network scanner/copier. sp3 also has a number of problems when trying to use remote desktop.
