  1. I just dug my password out of the back of my brain to come on and say that we got tickets for the first night! (the only night we planned on going)

Punk is travelling today, so I didn't think he'd be able to get online to share.

  2. For those of you who ever saw that picture of Hood in front of the Hood truck, it was the morning following this show when I took that shot. I dragged him out of bed to get it. He wasnt too happy with me until he figured out what I was up to.

    This made me smile :)

Vernon Downs was my first show! I remember having to drive back to the Falls right after, not fun.

    I have a copy, but I don't think it's very good either.

  3. This is really weird to come on here and find a thread about where I live!

    For the record:

$200,000 is WAY too much for a two bedroom cottage here! There is one for sale on our road for $130,000, and I was told that's a rip off.

There are 5 restaurants in North Rustico. Jaimoe, I think you might be talking about the Blue Mussel Cafe? Just because that's the only one I haven't been to, but I wouldn't describe any of the other ones as a "pubs" or "excellent".

Yes, the diner makes you smell like french fries all day. I still haven't tried the veggie burger, but I had the pancakes on the weekend and they tasted like donuts.

The property taxes are higher for "non-residents". I'm pretty sure that means if your home/cottage on PEI isn't your primary residence, not if you weren't born here.

DBOC, if you're at Rustico Resort, there's a fancy restaurant right nearby called Dayboat. I haven't eaten there yet (fancy!), but I've heard good things (award winning chef, etc.). As far as places I have eaten at, I definitely recommend the Cafe on the Clyde/PEI Preserve Company in New Glasgow, but they're seasonal so they might not be open by the long weekend.

Schwa, awesome pictures! I'm sad you won't be able to make it out here again this summer!

I found my password! I can post!

  4. Hey everyone!

So, although it's already been celebrated a few times, it looks like Tuesday night will be our real last night in town. Punk would really like to be able to get together to say goodbye to everyone, so if you're available, we'll be meeting up at the Oak on the canal for drinks at 7pm on Tuesday.

    Hope to see you there!
