Aaaand I stayed home last night. Heard the rumour around 10:00. Poop.

This is really effing sad. I was really looking forward to hearing new music coming from her, and hoping that she was in better health. The reports from the concert where she got booed off the stage obviously didn't make me optimistic, but I didn't think it could be nearly this bad. Rest in peace.

I'm going! Punk's going to U2 though, so it's just me. After missing last year, I decided never to miss this festival again!

I just dug my password out of the back of my brain to come on and say that we got tickets for the first night! (the only night we planned on going) Punk is travelling today, so I didn't think he'd be able to get online to share.

This made me smile Vernon Downs was my first show! I remember having to drive back to the Falls right after, not fun. I have a copy, but I don't think it's very good either.

I've heard good things about it, and I've been meaning to go for a while. Since it's a bit out of the way I always forget that it's there. It's another seasonal one and I always remember in October.

I just saw a study on Canada AM that both Moncton and Fredericton are in the top 10 cities to live in Canada. (Ottawa was #1, by the way!)

This is really weird to come on here and find a thread about where I live! For the record: $200,000 is WAY too much for a two bedroom cottage here! There is one for sale on our road for $130,000, and I was told that's a rip off. There are 5 restaurants in North Rustico. Jaimoe, I think you might be talking about the Blue Mussel Cafe? Just because that's the only one I haven't been to, but I wouldn't describe any of the other ones as a "pubs" or "excellent". Yes, the diner makes you smell like french fries all day. I still haven't tried the veggie burger, but I had the pancakes on the weekend and they tasted like donuts. The property taxes are higher for "non-residents". I'm pretty sure that means if your home/cottage on PEI isn't your primary residence, not if you weren't born here. DBOC, if you're at Rustico Resort, there's a fancy restaurant right nearby called Dayboat. I haven't eaten there yet (fancy!), but I've heard good things (award winning chef, etc.). As far as places I have eaten at, I definitely recommend the Cafe on the Clyde/PEI Preserve Company in New Glasgow, but they're seasonal so they might not be open by the long weekend. Schwa, awesome pictures! I'm sad you won't be able to make it out here again this summer! I found my password! I can post!
